Some days, even before you open your eyes in the morning, you just know it’s gonna be a bad day.
Then you have a choice.
Either you wallow in bed in self-pity, or you get up anyway and face the day.
You keep busy. You do the things you’ve been putting off. Preferably things that don’t require much focus and concentration. Preferably things that require physical activity. That takes your mind off worrying.
You take the plastic bottles to the recycling vending machine.
You pluck papayas from the tree in the garden.
You repot the plant that has grown too big.
You prune the curry leaves.
You turn the compost.
You just keep busy, and before you know it, you’ve made it through the day.
