I met you yesterday.
We talked for over 2 hours while waiting for the bank to open our joint account. We haven’t talked like that for a long time. It was nice to catch up as friends, or rather, as two people who spent many years of our lives together.
We kept it superficial, for the most part. And we reminisced about our past. We spoke a bit about our near future, about what we intend to do after.
It was nice to see that you’re doing well. That’s all I ever wanted for you.
How am I feeling after meeting you?
I smiled. I feel glad. Glad that I have no feeling. No more tearing at the heart. No more angst and wish to turn back the clock.
I think I really have let go of you. I think I’m really ready to move on now.
